The promise of AI is a force multiplier for this context-switching, but the reality is a flood of untested tools and prompts wrapped in a product. Most don’t work. Some make things worse.

Capitalization tables are a prime example. The math is simple, but the edge cases are not. We tested the Cap Table skill with a common early-stage scenario: a single founder, a 1M share option pool, and one $500K SAFE note converting at a $5M post-money cap during a Series A financing. The known trap here is how the option pool and SAFE conversion interact to calculate the final share price. The skill correctly navigated the conversion math, producing a pro-forma cap table that matched our manual calculations.
