⚠ This skill is no longer available upstream. Our re-check on Aug 10, 2026 couldn't find it any more (repo unreachable/deleted). The test below is what we measured on Jul 20, 2026 and we're leaving it up as a record — but there is nothing left to install, so we've removed the command.
Built two portals for the same tiny CLI codebase - one baseline, one following the skill's Phase-5/7 rules - and ran the skill's own checklist over both. The skill version passed all six checks; the baseline failed four: it shipped an emdash, used five inline onclick handlers, had no light-mode support, and crucially relied on navigator.clipboard with no execCommand fallback, so copy-to-clipboard silently breaks on the file:// protocol the skill explicitly targets. The skill version added data-view-to-id matching, a toast feedback system, and the clipboard fallback, all verified by node parsing and static checks. The checklist it prescribes is concrete and catches real gaps rather than being decorative.
Scored on four weighted criteria — install, triggering, output vs. baseline, docs. How scoring works
- Installs cleanly 5/5
- Triggers reliably 5/5
- Output vs. baseline 8/10
- Docs & honesty 5/5
What HTML Portal Generator does
Converts a codebase into one self-contained HTML file with embedded CSS, JS, and data, structured as a tabbed single-page app that runs offline on the file:// protocol. Triggers when you ask to generate a standalone interactive portal or browsable app from a repo. Enforces a Phase-7 quality gate: JS must parse, tabs must map to views, clipboard must fall back to execCommand, and no dead clicks.
How to install HTML Portal Generator
Nothing to install: the source repository no longer has this skill. If the author brings it back, our daily re-check will pick it up and the command will reappear here.
