⚠ This skill is no longer available upstream. Our re-check on Aug 10, 2026 couldn't find it any more (repo unreachable/deleted). The test below is what we measured on Jul 24, 2026 and we're leaving it up as a record — but there is nothing left to install, so we've removed the command.
Its plan template is genuinely richer than an unguided plan: every phase carries a why-this-approach evidence link, numeric validation criteria, and a rollback line, capped by a paste-ready execution prompt for the next session. But Step 1 hard-requires the separate /handoff skill (installing handoffplan alone leaves it dead), and it auto-commits and closes the session, so it works only with the sibling skill also installed and ideally the beads bd CLI.
Scored on four weighted criteria — install, triggering, output vs. baseline, docs. How scoring works
- Installs cleanly 5/5
- Triggers reliably 5/5
- Output vs. baseline 7/10
- Docs & honesty 4/5
What Handoff Plan does
Runs the sibling /handoff skill to capture session data, then writes a phased PLAN file with per-phase goal, why-this-approach, files, validation criteria, and rollback, plus a paste-ready execution prompt. Triggers on "plan this out", "handoffplan", or "create a plan and handoff". Optionally creates beads (bd CLI) to track phases and commits/closes the session.
How to install Handoff Plan
Nothing to install: the source repository no longer has this skill. If the author brings it back, our daily re-check will pick it up and the command will reappear here.
