This skill is no longer available upstream. Our re-check on Aug 10, 2026 couldn't find it any more (repo unreachable/deleted). The test below is what we measured on Jul 24, 2026 and we're leaving it up as a record — but there is nothing left to install, so we've removed the command.

Ran the bundled CLI live against four real public PRs in its default no-key rule-based mode: it correctly flagged axios#6300's dependency lockfile change as medium risk with +7/-7 evidence lines and honestly returned 'low risk, verify manually' on PRs that matched no heuristic. The 6 bundled pr-review tests pass, confirming it also fires on workflow, security-path, and source-without-tests changes. It gives deterministic, evidence-linked, scriptable triage a plain read cannot, but the flashier multi-provider tribunal needs paid keys, and running anything requires cloning the repo and npm install then invoking npm run argus from the checkout, not the skills copy. Scanned all src exfil vectors: only legitimate GitHub/provider API calls and user-configured endpoints, with explicit do-not-print-tokens and no-auto-merge guards.

Scored on four weighted criteria — install, triggering, output vs. baseline, docs. How scoring works

  • Installs cleanly 5/5
  • Triggers reliably 5/5
  • Output vs. baseline 7/10
  • Docs & honesty 4/5

What Codebase Argus does

A Node/TypeScript playbook plus CLI that reviews GitHub pull requests, triages CI failures, and plans downstream fork syncs with deterministic, evidence-linked risk findings. It runs rule-based by default with no API key, and can escalate to OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini/Codex provider tribunals when keys are present. Triggers when you ask to review a GitHub PR, diagnose failing Actions, or sync a fork against upstream.

How to install Codebase Argus

Nothing to install: the source repository no longer has this skill. If the author brings it back, our daily re-check will pick it up and the command will reappear here.

Commands — how to trigger Codebase Argus

  • /codebase-argus Evidence-first GitHub PR, CI-failure and fork-sync review CLI, no key needed

It also activates on plain-language prompts like these:

  • Review this GitHub PR and flag evidence-linked risks
  • Diagnose why our CI Actions run keeps failing on main
  • Plan the fork sync against upstream before we merge this
