⚠ This skill is no longer available upstream. Our re-check on Aug 10, 2026 couldn't find it any more (repo unreachable/deleted). The test below is what we measured on Jul 29, 2026 and we're leaving it up as a record — but there is nothing left to install, so we've removed the command.
Tested on a purpose-built monorepo with three manifests and three CLAUDE.md files carrying twelve seeded drift items. Unaided, the same question produced a root-only answer that caught six of twelve; following the skill's numbered procedure caught all twelve, because step 1 forces a one-level-deep manifest sweep and step 4 forces a rename column that pairs pg with psycopg2-binary, react-router with react-router-dom and moment with date-fns instead of listing them as unrelated adds and removes. It also normalised the uvicorn[standard] extras marker and skipped comment lines in requirements.txt. Genuinely read-only in practice: nothing in the fixture was modified, and the body explicitly forbids proposing edits. The forked-subagent frontmatter it advertises (context: fork, agent: Explore) is ClaudeForge plugin syntax that a standalone install silently ignores.
Scored on four weighted criteria — install, triggering, output vs. baseline, docs. How scoring works
- Installs cleanly 5/5
- Triggers reliably 5/5
- Output vs. baseline 7/10
- Docs & honesty 4/5
What CLAUDE.md Dependency Rescan does
Re-detects a project's real dependencies from package.json, requirements.txt, pyproject.toml, go.mod and Cargo.toml — including one level deep for monorepos and workspaces — then diffs them against the Tech Stack section of every CLAUDE.md in the repo. Returns three sets per file: added, removed, and renamed or aliased. Triggers on questions like 'is my Tech Stack section up to date', 'what deps changed', or a post-upgrade documentation check; it is strictly read-only and never edits a file.
How to install CLAUDE.md Dependency Rescan
Nothing to install: the source repository no longer has this skill. If the author brings it back, our daily re-check will pick it up and the command will reappear here.
