This skill is no longer available upstream. Our re-check on Aug 10, 2026 couldn't find it any more (repo unreachable/deleted). The test below is what we measured on Jul 28, 2026 and we're leaving it up as a record — but there is nothing left to install, so we've removed the command.

Asked for the same five-item AI briefing twice on 2026-07-28, live. Without the skill a single generic search returned aggregator blog roundups dated July 6-10 - nothing inside the 72-hour window, no per-item links, no categories. Following the skill I pulled Anthropic News, the Google AI blog and The Decoder directly and got five items dated July 26-27, every one with a direct permalink and a category, plus one genuine merge where the Opus 5 launch post and its benchmark coverage collapsed into a single entry with 'Also appeared in'. The catch is that the skill names its six preferred sources but gives no URLs or feed addresses, so you supply those yourself, and the Google AI blog returns posts with no visible dates, which quietly defeats the 72-hour rule for that source.

Scored on four weighted criteria — install, triggering, output vs. baseline, docs. How scoring works

  • Installs cleanly 5/5
  • Triggers reliably 5/5
  • Output vs. baseline 7/10
  • Docs & honesty 4/5

What AI News Radar does

Builds a dated AI news briefing from named primary sources such as Anthropic News, the Google AI blog and The Decoder, keeps only items from the last 72 hours, merges the same story reported twice into one entry with an 'Also appeared in' line, and tags each item Launch, Research, Product, Market, Safety or Opinion. Triggers on requests like 'latest AI news', 'AI briefing' or 'what happened in AI today', and accepts a count up to 20.

How to install AI News Radar

Nothing to install: the source repository no longer has this skill. If the author brings it back, our daily re-check will pick it up and the command will reappear here.
